There is so much to write and share about VinEXPO that we would need a full month to cover what caugh our attention.
In this ‘post’ we intend to highlight unusual products and/or names for North-Americans.
Thus, we cannot ignore wine names such as Beaux Gosses (‘Good looking dudes’), les Jolies filles (Good looking girls’), and Vin de merde (‘Shitty wine’). You have read correctly, Vin de merde (that was not present at VinEXPO), is definitely a curious name, but that does not necessarely translates into a bad quality wine. In fact, it was a rebellious reaction from Mr. Spéziale to a wine system . For more unusual wine names.
ISK, a new French rosé with low alcohol content (9%), is featured as a novelty wine in the VinEXPO Daily and confirms the trend for light wines.
ISK concept is meant to please 25-49 year old consumers thanks to its modern packaging, a tall frosted bottle, a twist cap, a metallic label, all indicators of freshness.
Domaine Clarence Dillon introduced its first rosé wine at VinEXPO: Clarendelle. A 2014 wine, a remarkable year for Bordeaux.
A printed Campain of Corsican Wines could have not been missed: Les vins de Corse. Forcément inattendus (not available in English but translates as Corsican wines. Necessarely inexpected.)
4 prints related to the main campaign not directly linked to wine:
- Êtes-vous prêts à faire de belles rencontres? (image below)
- Avez-vous déjà vu une vache rose? (image below)
- Une table avec vue sur
la merle lac ! - Êtes-vous sûr d’être à l’abri d’un coup de foudre?
